This learning activity reviews Florida laws and rules that apply to DO professional practice, medical ethics, and strategies to handle ethical violations.

After completing this learning activity, the participant should be able to:

• Identify Florida state laws and rules that are specific to the professional practice of osteopathic physicians.
• List behaviors and actions that can be ethical violations and lead to disciplinary action.
• Recognize the purposes of medical ethics.
