Infection HIV and AIDS, Provider Training for Florida

This learning activity provides an overview of HIV infection and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), modes of transmission, infection control best practices, clinical management practices, recommended treatment practices, preventative measures, and Florida laws affecting provider practice.

After completing this learning activity, the participant should be able to:

• Identify details of the HIV transmission and infection processes.
• Recognize best practices related to prevention, infection control, and clinical management of HIV and AIDS.
• Recall Florida laws associated with testing, counseling, reporting, and provider management of HIV and AIDS.
