Course Objectives

After completing this continuing education/professional development activity, the participant will have a strategy for passing a post-test on the topic of implicit bias for clinicians. Specifically, the participant will be able to:

  • Define implicit bias. 
  • Identify the impact of implicit bias on health outcomes. 
  • Recognize factors that influence implicit bias. 
  • List three interventions to deliver culturally competent care. 
  • Compare and contrast strategies to implement positive changes to reduce bias in individual, organizational, and large-scale settings.
