Course Objectives

After completing this continuing education/professional development activity, the participant will have a strategy for successfully answering questions related to case studies on the topic of ART: Essentials. Specifically, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify physiologic patterns of deterioration using the ART wheel.Associate diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to prevent or reverse deterioration.
  • Connect the Final Four Pathways and Fatal Fifteen clinical conditions to the  physiological processes of perfusion and respiration.
  • Examine the causes of each of the Final Four pathway arrests.
  • Apply common and etiology-specific therapies for the Fatal Fifteen clinical conditions.
